Welcome to Bradford!
With a long-established history, Ukrainians in Bradford have fully integrated in the local community, providing the city with an enriched heritage, making major contributions to the prosperity of the local economy and having strong links with the local authority. At the same time, our Ukrainian community continues to maintain its customs and traditions, handed down from previous generations of Ukrainians, as well as newly arrived Ukrainians.
On 30th June 2008, during the 75th anniversary of Holodomor, the Lord Mayor received the commemorative eternal flame (which transcended the whole globe), at Bradford town hall. Being one of only a few councils in GB to recognise Holodomor as Genocide, Bradford Council subsequently erected a new plaque in memory of the victims of Holodomor in the Memorial Gardens adjacent to City Hall in November 2013, on the 80th anniversary of this tragic Genocide.
Ukrainians in Bradford have not forgotten their roots or their culture and by developing, promoting, and supporting the interests, as well as the welfare of our community, continue to ensure that these will be passed on to future generations.

Завдяки давній історії, українці в Брадфорді повністю інтегрувалися в місцеву громаду, на постійній основі забезпечують місто збагаченою спадщиною, роблять значний внесок у процвітання місцевої економіки та мають міцні зв’язки з місцевою владою. Водночас українська громада продовжує зберігати свої звичаї та традиції.
Українці в Брадфорді не забули свого коріння та своєї культури і, розвиваючи, пропагуючи та підтримуючи інтереси, а також добробут нашої громади, продовжують гарантувати, що вони будуть передані майбутнім поколінням.
