Mission delegates at AUGB Central Office

As part of the European Union’s Programme for Ukraine, representatives of 10 Information Technology Companies from Ukraine attended an IT Mission in London 28-29 April 2009.

The 10 participating companies encompassed a range of IT skills and services including Software development, specialist Software Testing, ERP Software and Business Intelligence, Web development services - including expertise in social networking community websites, video intensive sites, photo-lab applications, content managed portals & ‘high-end’ corporate sites.

On 28 April the companies took part in the Internet World trade show held at Earls Court, London.  This gave them the opportunity to network, present and promote their products and services to potential business partners from abroad, exchange business experience with foreign companies, etc.  In the evening there was a chance to meet with the representatives of all of the companies at a drinks reception hosted at the AUGB's Central Office.

On 29 April the AUGB's Central Office also hosted the Mission's half day Workshop.  Addresses were given by Fedir Kurlak (AUGB), Iryna Tymczyszyn (UBCC), Carl Billson (UK Mission Coordinator), Yaroslav Voitka (Ukrainian Embassy), Andriy Hunder (Magisters) along with active debate and contributions from the Mission's delegates.  Following the conclusion of the Workshop, Dr Ludmila Pekarska, curator of the Taras Shevchenko Library and Archive, showed the Mission delegates the extensive resources of the AUGB's Library.
