Delegates from all over the UK took part in the AUGB's 66th Annual General Meeting, which was held and ably hosted in the AUGB's newly-built Branch hall in Manchester on Saturday.

The event was chaired by Marian Kosmirak, assisted by Bohdan Woloshynowych, and included reports from the outgoing AUGB President - Zenko Lastowiecki, CEO - Fedir Kurlak, the Chair of the Finance Control Committee - Andrij Chymera, and the Chair of the AUGB's Tribunal (Mediation Committee) - Mykola Lajszczuk.

The AUGB's Annual Report, which was released last week, was adopted by the AGM together with the report of the Association's auditors.  The 41 page Annual Report highlights key areas of the AUGB’s activities over the past year and includes an opening address by AUGB President, Zenko Lastowiecki and contains details of some ot the various activities carried out by the AUGB during 2010.  (Any member wishing to access the Annual Report can do so by contacting his/her local AUGB Branch or the Head Office team.)

Zenko Lastowiecki was re-elected President of the AUGB for a fifth term.

The Annual Membership subscriptions remains fixed at £12 p.a. (concessionary £6.00 p.a.).  A special new £1 p.a. rate has been introduced for existing and new student members from 1 January 2012 (up to the age of 21/22 subject to length of studies).

The AGM unanimously adopted a special resolution amending the Memorandum and Articles (M&A) of Association as per the text published in issue 13/2011 of the Association's journal, Ukrainian Thought ("Dumka").

The General Council has undertaken to prepare proposals relating to the introduction of further changes to the M&A which will be up for consideration at the next AGM.
