Over 70 participants took part in the AUGB’s hybrid 76th Annual General Meeting which was held on Saturday (11 September) at AUGB Huddersfield Branch. The majority of delegates attended the venue in person while a smaller number participated in the meeting online. 


The Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, HE Vadym Prystaiko, addressed the meeting and introduced a message of support from Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Vasyl Bodnar.


By Special Resolution, the meeting approved a number of amendments to the Articles of Association. Delegates also adopted the new rulebook of the AUGB’s Mediation Committee.


The meeting considered and adopted annual reports of the outgoing Board, Mediation and Internal Audit Committees, including the audited Statutory Accounts, and elected (or re-elected) the: AUGB Chair - Petro Rewko; Board of Directors - Linda Allison, Roman Bodnarec, Martyn Chymera, Hanya Dezyk, Yevgen Gorash, Tanya Klymenko, Marian Kosmirak, Ewhen Kurlak, Fedir Kurlak, Petro Luczka, Stepan Luczkiw, Myroslava Matwijiwskyj, Volodymyr Muzyczka, Paul Pszenyczniak, Bohdan Ratycz, Andriy Rutkowskyj, Bohdan Terlecky, Iryna Terlecky; Internal Audit Committee (IAC) Chair - Rev. Mykola Matwijiwskyj, members - Andriy Chymera and Wolodymyr Karpynec; Mediation Committee (MC) Chair - Natalka Sokolowska, members – Ivan Kaniuka and Myron Pilak.  Deputies to the IDC and MC - Josyf Kupranec and Roman Pasika.


Goldwins Limited were appointed as the Company’s external auditors.


Delegates resolved to keep the AUGB membership subscription fee for 2022 unchanged: 

  • £20 for Full Members
  • £10 concessionary
  • £3 for students
  • £50 for Corporate Members

The 89-page illustrated 2020 Annual Report, summarising some of the AUGB’s activities during the reporting period, was presented during the AGM and is now available for purchase by contacting ugs@augb.co.uk (£10 +£3.50 p&p). 


The AGM was immediately followed by a Jubilee photo and celebration of the AUGB’s 75th Anniversary. Huddersfield Branch had gone to great lengths to put on a fabulous carvery meal followed by a highly entertaining concert performed by the AUGB’s Representative Dance Ensemble “Orlyk”, Stockport’s “Mirage”Quartet and AUGB Huddersfield Branch’s own “Soloveyky” Trio and newly formed “Zolota Kalyna” Dance Ensemble.
