AUGB 75TH AGM TAKES PLACE AS HYBRID MEETING

Over 60 members took part in the AUGB’s hybrid 75th Annual General Meeting on Saturday (12 September) at AUGB Huddersfield Branch. A requisite number of delegates attended the physical venue while all other delegates participated in the meeting online. 

 

Delegates welcomed messages of support from Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister, Vasyl Bodnar, and from Ukraine’s new Ambassador to the UK, Vadym Prystaiko.

 

Traditional physical registration on the day of the AGM was replaced by electronic registration ahead of the meeting and although a streamlined agenda was the order of the day, all delegates had the opportunity to freely raise questions and vote in accordance with the Association’s Articles.

 

The meeting heard and adopted annual reports of the outgoing Board, Mediation & Disputes and Internal Audit Committees, including the audited Statutory Accounts, and elected (or re-elected) the: AUGB Chair - Petro Rewko; Board of Directors - Linda Allison, Roman Bodnarec, Martyn Chymera, Hanya Dezyk, Yevgen Gorash, Ivan Kaniuka, Tanya Klymenko, Marian Kosmirak, Ewhen Kurlak, Fedir Kurlak, Petro Luczka, Myroslava Matwijiwskyj, Volodymyr Muzyczka, Paul Pszenyczniak, Bohdan Ratycz, Andriy Rutkowskyj, Bohdan Terlecky, Iryna Terlecky; Internal Audit Committee (IAC) Chair - Rev. Mykola Matwijiwskyj, members - Andriy Chymera and Wolodymyr Karpynec; Mediation and Disputes Committee (MDC) Chair - Natalka Sokolowska, members – Mychailo Maziar and Myron Pilak.  Deputies to the IDC and MDC - Josyf Kupranec and Roman Pasika.

 

Goldwins Limited were appointed as the Company’s external auditors.

 

Delegates resolved to keep the AUGB membership subscription fee for 2021 unchanged: 

  • £20 for Full Members
  • £10 concessionary
  • £3 for students
  • £50 for Corporate Members

Minutes of the meeting have been made available to all Branches.

 

The 118-page illustrated 2019 Annual Report, summarising some of the AUGB’s activities during the reporting period, was presented during the AGM and is now available for purchase by contacting ugs@augb.co.uk (£10 +£3.50 p&p). 

 

During a meeting held immediately after Saturday’s AGM, the Board of Directors elected Hanya Dezyk as AUGB Deputy Chair and Fedir Kurlak as AUGB CEO.  The Executive Board for the year is: Petro Rewko (Chair), Linda Allison, Roman Bodnarec, Hanya Dezyk, Ivan Kaniuka, Fedir Kurlak, Iryna Terlecky.
