The Association of Ukrainian Women in Great Britain (AUW) is marking the 70th Anniversary since its formation with a celebratory event taking place at Tarasivka tomorrow afternoon.

For seven decades the AUW has worked hand in hand with the AUGB and has simultaneously tirelessly promoted Ukrainian culture, campaigned, organised aid to Ukraine (and Ukrainians in Rumania) on a massive scale with the first major shipment being sent out in 1990 to assist victims of the Chornobyl disaster, attended to Ukrainians in need in this country through its social-welfare activities, organised celebratory and commemorative events at local and national levels, and much much more.  At all times it has always supported and worked very closely with our two Churches and all other Ukrainian community organisations in this country.

We congratulate the AUW on reaching its 70th Anniversary, extend our gratitude to it for all of the great work that it done within our community and beyond over the years and we send our very best wishes on behalf of the AUGB to the AUW and all of its members on the eve of its very special celebration.

На Многії і Благії Літа Організації Українських Жінок!
