It was an incredible privilege and pleasure for us to host an evening at the Shevchenko Library and Archive with George on Wednesday evening. He is an extremely gifted, award-winning illustrator and Artist Reporter.
As we continue to celebrate Taras Shevchenko throughout the month of March, yesterday we were delighted to welcome pupils from the ‘Talented Children of Ukraine’ school and the Chair, Natalia Kuchmak, and members of AUGB Malvern Branch to our Head Office and the Shevchenko Library & Archive.
The T. Shevchenko Library and Archive welcomed students from the Ukrainian Supplementary School from AUGB Hemel Hempstead on Saturday, March 8. For the Shevchenko event, children of all ages prepared and recited poems from the Kobzar.
Our AUGB branches host regular events and activities for their communities and guests. Some AUGB branches host Ukrainian community schools and branches of organisations like the Association of Ukrainian Women and the Ukrainian Youth Association. Ukrainian Churches, are a key part of our community network, and both Catholic and Orthodox church parishes can be found across Great Britain.
Our network of partners spans across the world, and we work together with them to advance our missions and goals.
