DOCUMENTARY FILM AIMED AT STUDENTS

26.03.09

Stuart Wells, a documentary film maker from SAE Institute in London, recently approached the AUGB’s Shevchenko Library and Archive in London to help him research the 1932-33 Holodomor.  Since making initial contact, he has studied the Library’s books/archives/video resources on the subject and followed this up with further research elsewhere.

He has become so passionate about the issue of the Holodomor that he has turned his attentions to making a documentary film on the subject which is to be aimed at Britain's generation of students and youth.

The Shevchenko Library has helped to provide a substantial amount of material and agreed to facilitate with the filming at Linden Gardens, which included a lengthy interview with the AUGB’s CEO, Fedir Kurlak.

Wells will now be travelling to Ukraine and intends to hold a series of key interviews and filming of archive materials.
