The aims of the association include: promoting the fellowship of Ukrainian healthcare professionals and supporting their career development, raising awareness of Ukraine's healthcare system within the UK and supporting organisations and individuals who wish to promote improvements, and promoting educational and research activities with academic and professional healthcare organisations in the UK.

The conference programme has many distinguished speakers, including Henry Marsh, Consultant Neurosurgeon at St George's Hospital, who has close links with Ukraine and Dr Semyon Gluzman of the Ukrainian Psychiatric Association, Dr Dennis Ougrin, Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry and Professor Ricky Banarsee of Imperial College, amongst others.

AUGB warmly welcomes this initiative, and sends all good wishes for a successful conference and for the Association's future work.
