The Ukrainian Autocephalous Orthodox Church's Archbishop of Kharkiv and Poltava, Ihor Isichenko, yesterday visited AUGB's Central Office where he met with the AUGB's CEO and Curator of the Shevchenko Library.  He was accompanied by AUGB Board member Volodymyr Muzyczka.

Author of many publications on spiritual life and social role of the Church, Archbishop Ihor specialises in the history of Christianity, the history of Ukrainian literature X-XVIII centuries, Shevchenko studies and interaction between literature and religion.

Earlier in the week he gave a lecture at the Ukrainian Institute in London on the ‘Eastern Christian identity as a factor of choice of civilisation in Ukraine’ and an interview at the BBC's Ukrainian Service
