An exhibition, “Holodomor: Through the Eyes of Ukrainian Artists”, was officially opened today in Parliament by the Rt Hon William Hague MP.

The exhibition, organised by the British Ukrainian Society, has been staged to inform members of the House of Lords and House of Commons about the Holodomor, and will be displayed between 17-21 November in the Upper Waiting Hall on the Committee Corridor of the House of Commons.  Morgan Williams is the founder and trustee of the exhibition which is composed of original artworks by Ukrainian artists.

The exhibition forms part of the commemorative activities which are being carried out this year to mark the 75th anniversary of the Holodomor – the systematic starvation of more than seven million Ukrainians over a period of 18 months.  It will be a run-up to the National Day of Remembrance, which will be held at Westminster Central Hall on Saturday 22nd November.
