Ambassador Volodymyr Khandogiy presents the books to Ludmila Pekarska

Ukraine's Ambassador to the UK, Volodymyr Khandogiy, visited AUGB's Central Office earlier today.  He was accompanied by First Secretary Dr Kateryna Bila and the Embassy's Cultural Attache, Orysia Hunder, and met with AUGB's CEO, Fedir Kurlak and the Curator of the Shevchenko Library & Archive, Dr Ludmila Pekarska.

During his visit, the Ambassador donated a selection of over 200 books to the Library and took the time to find out more about the Library's collection and its work.

We are obliged to him for his very kind gesture which will undoubtedly be appreciated and of interest to the library's present and future researchers and visitors.

A more detailed report will appear in the next issue of Dumka.
