AUGB REPRESENTATIVES MEET WITH AMBASSADOR KHANDOGYI

The AUGB’s President, First Vice-President and CEO (Z. Lastowiecki, I. Terlecky and F. Kurlak) met earlier this evening with the new Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK, Volodymyr Khandogyi.  The meeting took place at the Embassy of Ukraine in London on the invitation of the Ambassador and was important in that it provided an opportunity for both sides to address various matters face to face, e.g. on issues such as:  future dialogue/collaboration, the Ukrainian community and its position on freedom and democracy in Ukraine, recovery of the Konstantyn Trutovsky painting and Gregor Kruk sculptures stolen from the AUGB’s Head Office in 2006 and now in Ukraine, Holodomor, books for the Shevchenko Library & Archive, book-launch of «Тарас Шевченко. Вибрана поезія. Живопис. Графіка.», commemoration of Shevchenko anniversaries, Ukrainian language books...
