REPRESENTATIVES OF BRITISH UKRAINIAN SOCIETY AND AUGB MEET TO STRENGTHEN TIES

11.09.08

The Chair of the British Ukrainian Society (BUS), Richard Spring MP, hosted a meeting today with the AUGB Secretary, Fedir Kurlak, and the Editor of the Ukrainian Thought, Oleksa Semenchenko.  The Society's Secretary, Megan Burke, also took part in the meeting.

A number of issues were discussed which will hopefully help to further promote and develop the existing relationship between the British Ukrainian Society and AUGB for the future.  Of particular note, Mr Spring MP proposed a directorship position for a representative of the AUGB to join the Board of Directors of the Society.

Formed in 2007, the British Ukrainian Society aims at strengthening relations at all levels between the United Kingdom and Ukraine, encouraging dialogue between the peoples of the two countries, and facilitating better understanding and co-operation between them.
