The AUGB’s 71st Annual General Meeting took place on Saturday at the AUGB’s Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Manchester.
 

The meeting received messages of support from the Ambassador of Ukraine, Natalia Galibarenko and a host of organisations.   The Embassy of Ukraine’s Charges d’Affaires, Mr Ihor Kyzym, also addressed the meeting before outgoing Representatives of the AUGB reported on the activities and finances of the Association on behalf of the General Council, Tribunal and Finance Control Committee.

The General Meeting adopted new Articles of Association (which will be published on this site shortly), discharged the outgoing President, General Council, Tribunal, Finance Control Committee and their deputies and elected Petro Rewko as Chair of the AUGB for the coming year.  In accordance with the new Articles of Association, the meeting also elected the Association’s Board of Directors (15 members), an internal audit committee (chair and two members), a mediation disputes committee (chair and two members) and two deputes for each of the two committees.

Goldwins chartered Accountants Limited were re-appoint as auditor to the company.

The meeting also determined the annual membership subscription fee for 2017:  £16.00 and £8.00 (concessionary) with the annual subscription fee for students remaining unchanged at £1.
