The Association's CEO, Fedir Kurlak, is on a two-day visit to Ukraine at the invitation of the National Museum of History of Ukraine, who are holding a conference to celebrate their 110th anniversary.

Since 2002, AUGB has worked closely with the National Museum on a number of projects, including exhibitions on Skoropadskiy and Bandera in Ukraine, and exhibitions on the Chornobyl accident and Holodomor in the UK. While in Ukraine, Mr Kurlak will be attending meetings about a potential exhibition in Ukraine of Gregor Kruk sculptures - as AUGB owns many of the finest examples of Kruk's work - and will also be meeting with HE Leigh Turner, the UK Ambassador to Ukraine on a range of cultural and other issues.

Fedir Kurlak was recently awarded an Order of Merit (III) by the President of Ukraine, Viktor Yushchenko, for his contribution to strengthening  Ukraine's international standing and popularisation of her historical heritage.
