UK DEMONSTRATIONS IN SUPPORT OF PEACEFUL PROTESTERS IN UKRAINE

08.12.13

Over 2000 people took to the streets in Central London today in support of peaceful protesters in Ukraine who have been demonstrating against the recent actions of President Viktor Yanukovych and his government, including state-sanctioned use of brutal police violence. A similar rally was also held in Manchester with over 100 protesters.

Demonstraters are outraged by the attacks on the Human Rights of the people of Ukraine and called on the authories in Ukraine to stand down and for fresh parliamentary and presidential elections to be held. They also demanded that the perpetrators of the violent Human Rights abuses be brought to justice.

Video footage of the London demonstration was televised by Ukraine's 24 hour news channel, 24tv.ua
