The Ukrainian Parliament was due to meet today to adopt a range of laws which included the release of jailed former PM Yulia Tymoshenko.

1215 (Kyiv local time):  Parliament reconvenes.  Speaker Volodymyr Rybak announces that all parties have agreed to the European integration laws being debated first thing on Thursday 21 November. This includes the package of 4 laws regarding medical treatment abroad for prisoners.

With regard to the latter, Areseniy Yatseniuk of the Tymoshenko Bloc said: "We have agreed to all compromoses. The text of the law, prepared by the opposition, fully concurs with the concept expressed by the Party of the Regions."

1200 noon (Kyiv local time):  Stalemate.   Speaker Volodymyr Rybak told the parliamentary session earlier today that no bills would be put to the vote during the morning session. The session was closed with the opposition pressing for a vote to be taken today or Thursday.  Parliamentarians were unable to even adopt the agenda for the week.  There is no indication when the session will be reopened.
