HOLODOMOR VICTIMS REMEMBERED IN UK

26.11.12

In many towns and cities across the UK, special memorial services, wreath-laying ceremonies and momoents of silence were held over the weekend to commemorate the annual Remembrance Day for the victims of the 1932-33 Holodomor.

In Rochdale civic leaders took part in a commemoration held on Friday at the Holodomor Memorial in the city's Memorial Gardens, whilst in London, Church and community members were joined by Ukrainian diplomats at the Holodomor Memorial in Acton to pay respects to the millions of Ukrainians who were forcibly starved to death during 1932-33.
